Free DevOps and cloud tools by Rahul Wagh
Every tool here solves one concrete problem in about two minutes, runs entirely in your browser, needs no account, and is open source. Each one is built from the same material as the posts and videos on this site: the rules come from the current cloud documentation, and the worked examples in the tutorials link straight into the tool with their own numbers filled in.
How the tools relate to the posts
- The CIDR explainer uses the planner to lay out the
10.0.0.0/16from the AWS series. - AWS VPC, Part 5, VPC peering, Part 12, Transit Gateway, Part 13, NAT Gateway, Part 14, PrivateLink, Part 20 and Cloud WAN, Part 25 each open the planner pre-loaded with that post's addresses.
- The story of how the planner was built, and what broke, is in the companion post. The source is on GitHub under the MIT licence.
What is next
Two things readers have asked for and that the current tool does not do yet: sizing subnets for Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS and GKE pod and node address consumption), and planning several VPCs at once with peering, Transit Gateway and IPv6. Both are on the list; if one of them would help you today, say so on the YouTube channel or in the repository issues.
